Gonzaga Sets tremendous Three-Year Series with Baylor

According to Global Sports and Events partner Sean McShane, Gonzaga and Baylor will be playing each other for the next three seasons. To open up the 2024-2025 campaign, the Bears will come to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Zags at the Spokane Arena on November 4th. The tip time and television network for the game are still being worked out. The next two matchups over the next two years will be on neutral sites to be determined later.

Gonzaga’s Mark Few and Baylor’s Scott Drew are two of the smartest minds that the college basketball game has to offer. Both programs next season should be in the Top 10 so this will be one of the premier non-conference matchups to watch.

Gonzaga owns the lead in the all-time series against Baylor dating back to 1991, 5-2. That doesn’t matter much as the Bears have won the last two matchups and, of course, beat the Zags in the 2021 national championship, 86-70.

The loaded non-conference slate for the Zags is almost complete except for one more buy game. Here is what it looks like right now:

November 4th vs Baylor (Spokane Arena)

November 10th vs Arizona State

November 15th vs UMass Lowell

November 18th at San Diego State

November 20th vs Long Beach State

November 27th vs West Virginia (Battle 4 Atlantis)

November 28th vs Louisville/Indiana (Battle 4 Atlantis)

November 29th vs Arizona/Oklahoma/Providence/Davidson (Battle 4 Atlantis)

December 7th vs Kentucky (Climate Pledge Arena)

December 14th vs UConn (Madison Square Garden)

December 18th vs Nicholls State

December 28th vs UCLA (Intuit Dome)

What a way to open up a college basketball season with two future Hall-of-Fame coaches who boast two of the winningest programs over the past five seasons going head-to-head.
