Former Pro Bowl DE, taggetd by the Oregon Ducks, has signed with the Detroit Lions for a long term…..
Even though the 2024 NFL season hasn’t started yet, some analysts are already projecting 2025. Additionally, a recent NFL analyst offered two recommendations for the Detroit Lions’ offseason actions.
Matt Holder of Bleacher Report is the analyst, and he believes the Lions should sign defensive end Josh Sweat and choose wide receiver Evan Stewart of Oregon in the 2025 NFL Draft.
These players are reasonable choices for Detroit given what the Lions have in 2024.
This offseason, the Lions took little action to strengthen their group of edge rushers. Marcus Davenport was signed, although his contract is just for a year, and he has injury worries.
Even if Jameson Williams has a good season as wide receiver, Detroit should consider adding another boundary receiver. But in the event that Williams doesn’t answer the bell, things will get really bad.
During the last four seasons, Sweat has recorded six or more sacks, with a career-high of eleven in 2022. Stewart, who weighs 175 pounds and is 6 feet tall, is anticipated to be a boundary receiver and a Day 2 choice.
