Mike Tyson set for shock new career change ahead of eagerly-anticipated fight with Jake Paul.

A pro/am mixed martial arts promotion that is rapidly gaining traction is called Cage Wars.

In addition to his son Amir Tyson, he will be working at the Rivers Casino & Resort in Schenectady, New York on Friday.

Iron Mike has a particular place in his heart for the New York location since it was there that he defeated Hector Mercedes via technical knockout in the opening round of his professional boxing debut in 1985.

Tyson is no stranger to life behind the microphone having hosted his podcast ‘Hotboxin’ with Eben Britton for many years. The 58-year-old has also hosted a one-man show in both Las Vegas and Broadway.

Perhaps the biggest surprise is that his new commentary/analyst role is for an MMA event, rather than a boxing one.

Tyson is gearing up for what could be his last ever boxing match as he prepares to take on Jake Paul on Friday, November 15 at the 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

The surprise fight between the 27-year-old YouTuber turned boxer and the 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight champion was announced, with a July 20 start date set.

But Tyson’s health problems forced a postponement, and Paul advanced to 11-2 by KOing Mike Perry.

Paul is certain that Tyson will be able to compete in their bout and is fit.

He declared: “I’m not worried. He’s doing fantastically.

“He’s super healthy behind the scenes and feeling great, so that’s what we’re focused on, and there’s not a back-up [opponent] currently.”

Tyson, in the meantime, believes he will finish Paul off, declaring: “This guy will be racing around the ring as soon as I grab him. It’s gonna be over the moment I capture this guy.
