Jonathan Greenard of the Vikings felt “a little bit bad” for Daniel Jones following jeers from Giants supporters and the insult…..

On Sunday, the Vikings’ dominance against Giants quarterback Daniel Jones became so evident that even Jonathan Greenard, an outside linebacker for Minnesota, began to feel guilty.

In an interview on “The Power Trip Morning Show” on Tuesday, Greenard discussed the jeers Jones faced and mentioned that, as the game progressed, he began to feel some pity for the quarterback who is frequently maligned.

When Jones departed MetLife Stadium following the 28-6 loss, some Giants fans were waiting outside the player’s entrance and heckling him.

Greenard said on the radio program, “We kind of started to feel a little bit bad for him as we’re still just completely taking away everything he wants to do.” Hey, it’s nice to have moved past it and it’s our job to not be on that sid.

Since agreeing to a four-year, $160 million contract with the Giants prior to the 2023 season, the signal-caller has been under intense scrutiny.

Jonathan Greenard, a linebacker with the Minnesota Vikings, felt sorry for Daniel Jones on Sunday.

Due to knee and neck problems, Jones was limited to just six games in 2023, making it a forgettable season.

During the radio ad, Greenard claimed that after playing in Houston during some difficult years, he had been in Jones’ position and had experienced jeers from the home crowd.

“I’ve experienced the jeers you hear when your offense isn’t producing any results and you walk onto the field thinking it’s an away game.”game at this point,” Greenard said.

“But at that time, you know how, how we were attacking him and understanding like where he’s at in his career based on you know, obviously the scheme that he has, you know, whatever the contract things going on. So, we understand he’s dealing with a lot, and if we can add another aspect of you know, pressure onto the guy to make him speed up his reads a little bit more, make sure that he’s not gonna get confident and comfortable back in the pocket. Man, it was a great feeling to see it on the first couple of drives.”

The Giants’ offense totaled just 240 net yards in the season-opening loss.

But even with all of the criticism of Jones, the Giants plan to stick with him at quarterback, at least for another week, as head coach Brian Daboll answered in the affirmative on Monday that Jones was still QB1
