How Paul and Tyson’s stats shape up

As soon as Michael Moorer slowed down, George knocked him out. “The power is always going to be there but the speed will diminish.” Tyson has since been attempting to prove the naysayers wrong, by posting training footage from his camp as he prepares to make a step back into the ring. He has fought since retiring as a professional, but in an exhibition clash with Roy Jones Jr back in 2020. Matchroom chief Eddie Hearn is not a fan of the match-up

“For me it’s really sad because Mike Tyson was one of my idols growing up, and to see him fighting at 57, 58… but I also understand that a lot of people are going to tune in and watch,’ Hearn said. “It’s an entertainment event, Netflix, great to see them involved in boxing. I think it will do really well. But it’s just not really one for me. “I don’t think you should be fighting at 57 years old. But also the guy was one of the greatest ever fighters,’ Hearn continued. “Why do you want to go in at five per cent of what you were and lose to a guy like Jake Paul?

“He shouldn’t have to do that, but the world is the world we live in.” Paul is likely to go in as the favourite given he is in his physical prime at the age of 27, but many believe Tyson still has the capability to deliver one final KO blow.
